About
I am an educator, an active community member, a hands-on experimenter, and a multi-media artist. As an art educator for social change, I create lessons and classroom environments that promote equity, cultural awareness, and creative thinking. My curriculum supports an inclusive and meaningful view of the visual arts, sharing with students what is possible both inside and outside of the art room. All lessons are designed to make art relevant and meaningful, making connections to pop culture, literature, art history, music, and current events. I believe that all students are artists, and that the art room is the ideal place to learn important lifelong skills including creativity, self expression, and perseverance.
